On April 5th, Trudie and I set out for a drive with no destination in mind- we decided to let our feelings steer the car – and this is where we discovered a forest getaway.
Our drive took us south on Hwy 1 from Nanaimo to left on the Cowichan Valley Hwy 18.
If you take a left-hand turn onto Cowichan Lake Rd and then a turn onto Stoltze Rd – to Riverbottom Rd you’ll bump into several beautiful forest campgrounds, rushing river, and interesting hiking trails.
