March is Spring in Nanaimo!

Neck Point Park is located in Nanaimo, BC.

Neck Point is a vibrant waterfront park that serves as a gem for Nanaimo and the surrounding region. Cherished as an environmentally sensitive area, the park’s historic, scenic, and natural features are beloved by the community. Here, you’ll encounter rugged rock cliffs, delightful pebble bay beaches, and winding trails that meander through stunning Garry Oak groves.

The park is a delightful haven for scuba divers, as a convenient access road makes drive-up diving a breeze. Excitingly, there is a stunning deep-water rock wall face that is said to be home to a charming octopus, adding to the magic of the underwater experience.

The headland area in the north section of the park is an incredible place to delight in spotting Orcas, Sea Lions, and playful otters. During herring season, you’ll be amazed as the beach comes alive with vibrant roe in January!
