Discovering the Serenity of Forest Bathing

Trudie and I have been to two breathtaking locations in the past week or so. I have only heard of ‘forest bathing’ recently and to experience it is often beyond words – that’s why my camera is the medium that I use to show you what I see and feel.

Forest bathing is the immersion of your self in the energy and vibrations of the trees, moss, ferns, rocks, and water—all around you, including the air that you breathe. This energy, which surrounds and envelops you, is a calming, soothing, and healing vibration that promotes mental clarity and emotional balance. Engaging with nature in such an intimate way allows you to connect deeply with the environment, fostering a sense of belonging and tranquility. That is why you will feel more serene after being on a nature walk or sitting by water, as the gentle rustle of leaves and the soft murmur of flowing streams wash over you, grounding your thoughts and calming your spirit. Embracing these natural elements can lead to profound insights, helping to restore harmony within yourself and your surroundings.
