Driving the Pacific Marine Circle Loop

BEWARE, FREQUENT RANDOM STOPS AS THERE ARE PHOTOGRAPHERS ON BOARD!

Hi everyone! I am Trudie and I am excited to start this journey with you.

I am so happy to finally have a local friend that is also into photography! Join us as Cindy and I set out to explore Vancouver Island and beyond with cameras in hand. How can you not be excited by two wonderful women over 50 exploring our world and sharing the beauty we see through our lens.

Our first official journey, where the idea for this blog was born, was around the Pacific Marine Circle Loop. We started outside the loop in Nanaimo, went through Lake Cowichan to Port Renfrew, followed the coast around through Shirley to River Jordon, on to Sooke and out over the Malahat to loop back to Nanaimo.

It was an all day adventure that took us through deep dark forest, up over around and down through active logging roads, over one lane bridges with waterfalls, rivers, creeks and unknown surprises under each pass, through twists and turns along the stunning pacific coast and finally over the Malahat mountain pass that traverses through Goldstream Park. Basically, a photographers dream!

We look forward to sharing more journeys with you and our favourite photos from each beautiful location.

Come on along and see our world!

Drive carefully, it is a long way down!
There we are…the funny looking shadows at the bridge rail
